Bethesda Md, just minutes from Washington DC got its name from The Bethesda Meeting House. A church built in 1820 and being rebuilt in 1849. Bethesda served as a passageway from Georgetown to Rockville. However, once Washington DC was formed it took Georgetown from being the economic power of Montgomery County.  The history of Bethesda is rich and will continue to grow for times to come.
